SCORPIO

Drinking style
Don’t ever tell Scorpios they’ve had enough, for they’ll smirk at you and
quietly but intentionally keep tippling till they’re hog-whimpering drunk,
out of 100-proof spite. Scorpios like to drink, and screw you if you have
a problem with that. Most of them see the sauce as something to savor in
itself, and not as a personality-altering tool — though if depressed,
self-loathing Scorps seek total obliteration. But generally, they’re
fascinating drinking pals, brilliant conversationalists and dizzying
flirts. They also remember everything — especially what you did when
you were blitzed. Only drink with a Scorpio who likes you.

Trademark cocktails
Just as a Scorpio can look you in the eye and smile while secretly
plotting your demise, so does the brandy-laced stinger’s sweet taste
hide a potent amount of alcohol. If you want to get literal, serve
them a scorpion — they may not love tropical drinks, but it shows
you’re paying attention. Scorpio rules watermelon, so break out the
blender and fix a pitcher of watermelon margaritas to seduce ’em —
though red wine will do the trick just as well.

Drinking buddies
Truman Capote, Hillary Clinton, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jodie Foster,
Bill Gates, k.d. lang, Megan Mullally, Demi Moore, Sylvia Plath, RuPaul

Communication

08.29.2003

*sigh*

I don’t understand why it’s so difficult for my
to start up a discussion. I wanted to so bad
last night, but I felt so intimidated.

I guess part of it is fear of what might be
the resolution to such a discussion. Another
part might just be the realization that starting
such a discussion with him will be difficult
to accomplish.

Hopefully sometime this weekend.
We shall see.

Tortilla & Hippies

Heard this on the radio while at the gym.

This rings pretty true…

What Is Your Battle Cry?

Hark! Who is that, rampaging across the icy wasteland! It is Iwantchai, hands clutching two hardened pitas! And with a gutteral scream, his voice cometh:

“I’m going to fuck you with such zeal, your blood will flow counter-clockwise!!”

Joplin kicks ass!

I really enjoy DeLay.
It’s so nice to be able to go out on a weeknight
and dance to some tasty funky house at a local
venue. Not many events of this type seem to
occur in Long Beach, the closest is usually
at the Detroit Bar in Costa Mesa or drive up
to LA.

There weren’t many familiar faces, as they all
seem to be at Burning Man. I did see Alicia,
Jason, and Gabby though.

But yeah. Wow…last night was great. My
legs and ass are kinda sore from all the dancing!
That and I’m a bit hungover. I lost track of
how many $3 kamikazes I drank.

oh yeah, and that mix of “roxanne” last night:
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Spreading my seed

08.26.2003

That’s right, I finally got around to planting.

heh.

Basil, Cilantro, Mertyl Spurge.

I have 3 more pots to transplant some Rosemary plants
and then I can spread more seeds.

It will be nice to have fresh Basil around.
I’m glad Danielle reminded me of that and gave me
the motivation to get on it.

zipper burn

Whatever you do, be very careful pulling laundry out of the dryer.
I got a nice burn on my arm from the zipper of my cargo shorts:

Stringbeans!

08.25.2003

So it makes me very happy to have a stocked fridge.
I’m glad we went grocery shopping this weekend.

Homecooked food is FAR better than take out anyday.
Tonight was walnut/gargonzola tortellini with Trader
Joe’s Pinjur sauce (roasted peppers and eggplant
tomato sauce) with some goat cheese mixed in.
I steamed some fresh stringbeans
and covered them with this.
Added a side of flat bread and a salad with
carrot ginger dressing.

mmmmm
yum.
